Giant descender: new certification up to 250 kg as rescue device

New for 2018, the Giant multifunctional descender has met the demands of the most technical rope access and rescue specialists. Exceptional control is guaranteed even with heavy loads. The Giant is also certified for use as a fall arrest device, as an ascender with smooth upward glide, and as a belay device for climbing, making it the most widely certified rope tool of its kind.

In the last months, C.A.M.P. R&D Office has worked to improve the Giant and its performances. As a result the Giant now features a new EN 12841 (Type A and B) certification up to 250 kg as rescue device (this is the highest on the market).

In details, the Giant’s loads in accordance with the EN 12841 (Type A and B) standard are:
- 250 kg for semi-static ropes from 11 to 11.5 mm;
- 210 kg for semi-static ropes from 10 to 10.9 mm.
