After having received the ISPO Award, the Skimo Total Race crampon attains the OutDoor Industry Gold Award 2018 as well. This prestigious prize was assigned in the last days during the OutDoor trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and highlights the Skimo Total Race as one of the top new products of the 2018.

Skimo Total Race epitomise skimo race crampons at their best: here, every detail aims at lightness and speed. They feature the innovative locking system, devoid of the heelpiece (as in its precursor Race 290), as well as the typical front headband. The new T-Stop system, featuring an adjustable fastener to adapt the crampon to any ski touring boot featuring a front notch, stands out as a replacement. The Clip-in system at the back, instead, presents special pivots that make the fastening extremely quick and mode switches swifter.

Together with the Friedrichshafen OutDoor fair, the OutDoor Industry Award is an internationally acknowledged hallmark, awarded by a jury of experts, to products that stand out in view of their innovative design and sheer quality. In the words of the organizers, «The OutDoor Industry Award acts as a guidance for consumers and points out at the most functional and innovative products, i.e. the long-standing and sustainable ones». C.A.M.P. is a regular at this prize, considering the awards its products received in the past: the Corsa Nanotech (2006), the Wing pulley (2009), the Stratos harness (2009), the via ferrata set Matrix Gyro Rewind (2010), the Tour Nanotech Automatic crampon (2011) and the Blade Runner crampon (2013).

The Skimo Total Race stands out for winning a Gold Award: the most important prize that not only emphasises the thirst for innovation typical of our company, but also its record planning, development and implementation of ski touring gear which do make a world of difference.
