Ronald Choque came back in Bolivia after three months of climbing in Italy

Even the most exciting stories, sooner or later, come to the last chapter. So, after three months in Italy, Ronald Choque came back in Bolivia: he greeted us and left for Peñas, close to La Paz, to continue his educational project in the mission of father Antonio “Topio” Zavatarelli. Ronald will continue to work to realize his dream: he wants to become a mountain guide and the last weeks in Italy, hosted by C.A.M.P., gave him important experiences to reach his goal.

Ronald arrived in our country in February, when all mountains were covered in snow, and enjoyed ski mountaineering and ice and mixed climbing. Later he completed several rock ascents, starting on the walls close to Lecco – he climbed also the famous Cassin route on the Corna di Medale together with C.A.M.P. collaborator and very strong mountaineer Adriano Selva – and then in Mello's valley – where he enjoyed the perfect cracks of Luna nascente (“Rising Moon”) route. And of course he completed high altitude ascents too, reaching also the Punta Gnifetti, in the Monte Rosa massif, together with C.A.M.P. sales manager Giovanni Codega and many friends.

For Ronald, this long stay in Italy was a unique human experience, representing an integral part of father Topio's project. Ronald passed an important period for his future, spending intense days in the name of friendship and sharing. And for our part, as we said some months ago, we are proud and happy to be part of this initiative, completely in line with our that authentic mountain culture.
